Strangely, she likes it but only does it through month five when it starts to get too hard with the triple-load she's carrying. Leslie even goes to a few prenatal yoga classes. She fills binders and makes lists throughout her pregnancy. It's an instant family, whereas with a single baby, they would likely only get to have one child, and she's determined to do everything right. She really considers the triplets-and getting pregnant at all at 39-a gift. Leslie puts up a mock-fight on the vegetable-thing, but she's 100% on board with doing everything she can to make sure the pregnancy goes well-she takes all the vitamins she's supposed too, eats healthy (mostly), exercises, she and Ben even start going on after-dinner walks every night. They both end up thinking it's gross and pour it down the sink and instead go to JJs for shakes. Once, even tries to get her to drink flaxseed milk at Chris's suggestion. He starts cooking more and discovers he really loves it. Lots of sex, sleeping, cuddling, and eating calzones-her biggest, most embarrassing craving, with Ben always trying to get her to eat more vegetables. Both Ben and Leslie fully enjoy months three through six in that regard. Her stomach is no longer trying to murder her and her pregnant-lady, must-have-sex-now! hormones fully kick in. Then suddenly, one morning a few of weeks in, she's just fine. Ben holds her hair back while she hurls if he's around and the one time she threw up in front of Donna, she lightly (but uncomfortably) rubbed/patted Leslie's back, saying ' there, there,' until she was done. She throws up a lot the first month-she always makes sure there is a garbage can or an extra-large Paunch Burger drink cup (child size!) nearby in case she needs to barf quickly. Her pregnancy is not hard, but it's not necessarily easy.

So, I decided to write it out and post it before it all gets blown to hell in January!* Nutriyum_addictI've ended up writing a lot of fic about Leslie's pregnancy ( Everything's Going to be Fine, Could You Repeat That?, Take a Look a These, What to Expect When You're Expecting Triplets in Pawnee, Couch Time, Leslie Knope and the Secret Calzones) and have in the process, developed a fairly fleshed-out headcanon about her pregnancy.
